Essex Rebels have secured their second win of the WBBL Championship campaign, and their first ever road win in their inaugural season, after beating Cardiff Met Archers 78-65 to move to a record of 2-11.
The margin of 13 points also means Rebels take the head-to-head over Archers, which might prove crucial in the Play-off race as the defeat keeps Cardiff just outside in ninth place.

Turning point – Rebels won each of the first three quarters, in particular using a 13-4 burst in the five minutes before half time to establish a double-digit lead at 44-33 with Cat Lutz and Jessy Ward hitting three-pointers in that spell. The lead peaked at 64-47 on another pair of Lutz triples in the third.
Key stat – Rebels committed a huge 26 turnovers, but were clinical when they did get their shots off, making 52% inside and 34% from three-point range, while also getting to the free-throw line 27 times in the game.
