Nottingham Wildcats put on a strong fourth quarter to reach the WBBL Cup semi-finals by beating Sevenoaks Suns 67-58, led by a double-double from Ashley Harris.

Wildcats had lost the three previous meetings between these sides, and this win also snapped a run of three straight defeats in this campaign.

Turning point – The game had been tight throughout until Wildcats opened the fourth quarter with a 12-2 burst as Harris scored seven and the lead reached 57-50 inside the final five minutes. Suns got back to within one shot, but an Alyesha Lovett three-pointer entering the final minute proved decisive.

Key stat – Wildcats went hard to the basket in the crucial fourth quarter, making 13 trips to the free-throw line and scoring nine of those attempts to keep their visitors at arm’s length.
