Sevenoaks Suns got their Championship campaign off to the best possible start with an unproblematic 93-35 victory on the road against league newcomers, Essex Rebels.

The reigning Championship and Play-Offs winners wasted little time in showing their pedigree, controlling the tempo of the game from start to finish.

Turning point – The Suns were in a ruthless mood from the start, showing little mercy. The visitors raced out to an early double-digit lead and steadily increased their advantage throughout the contest.

Key stat – The Rebels were simply unable to slow down the visitor’s array of offensive weaponry, conceding 20 or more points in each of the game’s four quarters.
