WBBL All-Star Five – Week 12

Our season leader extends her advantage and there are a pair of Great Britain rising stars who finally cement debut spots.

Georgia Gayle (Westfield Health Sheffield Hatters)
It’s a first starting berth of the season for young Hatters and Great Britain talent who was the driving force in her team’s super win against Wildcats. Gayle finished with an all-action 22 points, eight rebounds, six assists and two steals in an excellent display.

Gabby Nikitinaite (Sevenoaks Suns)
Our second burgeoning talent also records her first starting slot of the campaign after producing the goods for Sevenoaks as they claimed a nice Trophy win at Leicester Riders. Nikitinaite starred with 19 points and also contributed five rebounds and three assists.

Steph Gandy (Westfield Health Sheffield Hatters)
It’s a super sixth appearance for the experienced Hatters’ star and she also makes it three in a row after coming up big in the victory at Nottingham. Gandy fired 22 points from a smart 8 of 15 shooting effort and also hauled down seven rebounds.

Ashley Harris (Nottingham Wildcats)
Our season leader lands a super ninth starting spot off the back of a towering performance against Team Northumbria. Harris proved unstoppable with a dazzling 9 of 11 from the field and also completed a double-double with 10 rebounds complementing her 22 point-haul.

Dominique Allen (Manchester Mystics)
The Great Britain centre is on fire for Mystics and was the standout player in her team’s border raid a Caledonia Pride. Allen returned from Edinburgh with a stellar double-double of 16 points from a superb 8 of 11 floor shooting, as well as grabbing 11 rebounds.

Off the bench – Christina Gaskin (Barking Abbey Crusaders), Sarah Wagstaff (Cardiff Met Archers), Ashton Fleming (Oaklands Wolves), Diana Naydenova-Goryanova (Barking Abbey Crusaders), Tricia Oakes (Caledonia Pride), Alex Smith (Leicester Riders), Alison Gorrell (Team Northumbria).
