The WBBL Trophy continued on Saturday with wins for Manchester Mystics, Westfield Health Sheffield Hatters, and Leicester Riders.

Mystics and Hatters are level-pegging at the top of the North Group, after both moved to 2-0.

Steph Gandy hit 20 points to lead the Hatters to a 69-50 defeat of Caledonia Pride, as they pursue a third straight WBBL Trophy crown.

While Amy Browne (26) and Dominique Allen (21) combined for two thirds of Manchester’s points in a 72-60 win over Team Northumbria, the hosts seeing off a late fightback.

Elsewhere, in the South Group, Riders posted their highest points tally of the season in a 95-53 road win at Cardiff Met Archers. They were led by Erika Livermore’s 33 points, on 82% shooting, which was also the highest individual tally for any Rider this campaign.
