It was a historic afternoon as both underdogs prevailed in the WBBL Trophy Semi-Finals to book a place in a major Final for the first time.

Sevenoaks Suns were the first to book their spot with some great early work and a stellar 28 points from Cat Carr handing them a 67-82 success at 2016 Trophy winners Westfield Health Sheffield Hatters.

Their opponents at the 2017 British Basketball Trophy Finals on Sunday 19 March at the Emirates Arena in Glasgow will be Leicester Riders.

They chose a great time to grab their first ever derby win against local rivals and current WBBL Championship leaders Nottingham Wildcats.

They reached their first Final with a 94-83 victory behind 19 points from Scottish wing Erin McGarrachan and double-doubles from Erika Livermore and Alex Smith.
