A bumper crowd has been guaranteed for the 2017 British Basketball Play-Off Finals as record-breaking ticket sales have seen more than 10,000 sold already – even though it is still only March.

The showpiece season finale of the 2016-17 campaign will take place against the spectacular backdrop of The 02 in London, renowned as the biggest and best venue to watch basketball in the UK.

Taking place on Sunday 14 May, there will be a tremendous double bill for fans to enjoy, with the BBL Play-Off Final and WBBL Play-Off Final taking centre stage.

“The tickets have been flying out of the box office at an unprecedented rate with over two-thirds of the tickets now sold,” confirmed BBL Chief Operating Officer, Andy Webb.

“The appetite for British Basketball continues to rise and with that in mind, I would strongly urge fans who haven’t yet purchased, to do so as quickly as possible so they are not left disappointed.

“Whether it is first time fans wanting to experience a Finals day for the first time, or longer-term BBL supporters, there can barely be a better place to watch the sport.

“Throw in the fact there will also be another HoopsAid on the menu and star guests such as an exclusive performance from Tinchy Stryder, we expect the strong demand for tickets to continue.”
