It’s time for our weekly round-up of all things #theWBBL and it was another very buys week.

Oaklands Wolves came agonisingly close to recording a historic first WBBL Championship success but were pipped in overtime at Team Northumbria. However, there was a brilliant double-double from young Loren Christie which we highlighted.

Not that Christie was ever going to be able to rest on her laurels – got to keep pushing on…..

Nottingham’s Siobhan Prior has been trying to help Wildcats move closer to the WBBL title but had one eye on that great story at NCAA Final Four which saw the winners get a congratulations tweet from ex USA President Bill Clinton!

The Caledonia Express rolled on in Edinburgh, with Robyn Lewis hitting a landmark as the Scottish side had a weekend win double. They are now looking to cement a Play-Off spot.

They also took two slots in our All-Star Five for the first time as well!

Meanwhile a couple of awards were handed out as Len Busch made it two gongs in a row!

Then it became a Sevenoaks double as young Gabby Nikitinite scooped the players version….

FIBA’s Women’s basketball specialist Paul Nilsen thought someone else in the Suns’ camp deserved a special mention…..
