Sevenoaks Suns have received a boost with the news that influential team leader Cat Carr has committed to continuing with the club for the new 2017-18 WBBL season.
One of the best and most well-known players in the league, the versatility, points production and all-round leadership will be priceless for Suns as they look to continue their upward trajectory.
Carr was a major driver of their historic moment when they collected their first-ever silverware with the WBBL Trophy and was then crowned MVP at the WBBL Play-Off Final at The O2 as Suns made it a double.
“Cat is the unquestioned leader of our team,” smiled a delighted Suns’ head coach, Len Busch.
“She showed last year, how with a stronger team around her, she could rise to another level.
“She’s a competitor and a great person, so I’m really happy to have her back.
“Plus, with Gabby [Nikitinaite] moving on, I’m curious to see which youngster she adopts as her new little sister,” added the play-caller.
