Manchester Mystics over-powered a shorthanded Durham Palatinates side, 92-55, to bounce back from last weekend’s defeat and move to 2-1 in the WBBL Championship.
An early three-point barrage won the game for the hosts, led by the trio of Georgia Jones, Lauren Thomas-Johnson and Rheanne Bailey.

Turning Point – Mystics led from the early stages and throughout, after a dominant first quarter in which Georgia Jones scored an amazing five early three-pointers to help the lead out to 21-6 after nine minutes. There was no way back for the visitors, and particularly after Jones, Bailey, and Thomas-Johnson, twice, hit further triples in a 12-2 finish to the half.
Key Stats – Mystics took 14 of their first 17 shots from three-point range, and hit 50% of them to build a commanding early lead.
Game Hero – Captain Georgia Jones led from the front with an irrepressible all-round performance, scoring 30 points, including seven three-pointers, while adding seven rebounds and six assists.
