The prestigious 2018 WBBL Betty Codona Trophy Final will take place on Saturday 14 April at the Cheshire Oaks Arena at 4pm.

Set to be an exciting showpiece event for the women’s game in the UK, two teams will attempt to land the silverware which Sevenoaks Suns captured last year at the Emirates Arena in Glasgow.

The holders will be strongly fancied to post a strong defence of their coveted Trophy, having started the season on the front foot with an unbeaten run.

Similarly, the inaugural winners Westfield Health Sheffield Hatters, who also reigned supreme at the 2016 edition, are likely to be contenders after also recording a flawless start to the new campaign.

The Final will be preceded by a Festival of Basketball for Under 11 children who will receive coaching sessions from WBBL Coaches and Players.

The journey to Cheshire Oaks begins with an initial group phase based on geographical location.

North 2 – Durham, Manchester, Sheffield
South 1 – Cardiff, Leicester, Nottingham
South 2 – Barking, Oaklands, Sevenoaks

Teams play each other once either home or away, with group winners progressing to the Semi-Finals (single leg) which will take place on the weekend of 7-8 April.
