Scottish guard Deanne Hayward has been crowned Molten WBBL Player of the Month after inspiring Leicester Riders during their perfect November with some superb performances.
Hayward has been on fire throughout the period with her displays harvesting a sparkling 18 points per game – helped by her stellar shooting accuracy. She returned 60% from the field and was second in the WBBL from behind the three-point line.
Hayward was also the best free-throw shooter and showed she is a creator as well as a scorer for Leicester, by passing the rock impressively and accumulating 3.7 assists per game.
Not only that, but despite her size, the guard also stepped up on the glass too, managing to haul down 5.7 rebounds per game.
The accolade completes an awards double for Leicester, after Riders’ play-caller Krumesh Patel was named the Molten WBBL Coach of the Month.
