The WBBL’s newest franchise Essex Rebels are delighted to have captured Romanian international Ozana Marginean for their inaugural campaign.
Having not only represented her country throughout the various U16, U18 and U20 age groups, Marginean also posted a highly successful Collegiate career in the NCAA where she stepped out with St Francis of New York.
The player affectionately known simply as ‘Oz’, lands in Essex after a period of living and working in Barcelona and with Rebels’ Head Coach Mark Lloyd excited to have the opportunity to get Marginean back on the floor.
He stated: “I am absolutely over the moon to have Oz joining us for the upcoming WBBL season.
“She has immense experience at both international and NCAA level and will be a key part of our leadership group.
“Oz is a great shooter and perimeter player- but most importantly, a quality person to have within our programme”
Further player announcements will be made during the coming days.
