We have got a real nice mix this week of familiar faces and a couple of debutantes, as we look back on the best displays in last weekend’s Cup and Championship action.

Georgia Jones (Manchester Mystics)
The Great Britain star makes it three All-Star Five starting appearances out of four as she continued to pass the rock in style. Jones helped Mystics past Rebels in the Cup with an astonishing 17 assists – also completing a double-double with 11 points – as well as 3 steals.

Monika Bosilj (Durham Palatinates)
It was a proud moment last Sunday for Palatinates as they grabbed their first win of the new season. They gained revenge for their Cup loss to Caledonia with a league success that was founded on a terrific 23 points from Bosilj who hit some tough shots early and played super defence.

Georgia Ohrdorf (Newcastle Eagles)
It’s a first ever appearance in our starting five for the Eagles’ rookie, as Ohrdorf excelled at Sport Central in the WBBL Cup success against BA London Lions. Her all-action 15 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists led the way in an impressive effort.

Samantha Roscoe (Manchester Mystics)
Manchester continued their red-hot start to the new season as they tore past Essex in the WBBL Cup. Roscoe produced one of the best displays of the season so far with 22 points (10 of 14), plus 10 boards and 4 blocks.

Kara Bonenberger (Newcastle Eagles)
The centre brings up her second appearance of the season after starring in the Cup win against Lions. Bonenberger completed a double-double of 16 points and 10 boards as she proved a handful for the visiting defence – drawing 9 fouls.

Off the bench – Anneke Schluter (Oaklands Wolves), Rheanne Bailey (Manchester Mystics), Betsy MacDonald (Durham Palatinates), Brea Elmore (Leicester Riders), Julia Koppl (Sevenoaks Suns), Sarah Toeaina (Westfield Health Sheffield Hatters), Tereza Brantlova (BA London Lions).
