Great Britain rising star Holly Winterburn has picked up the Molten WBBL Player of the Month award for December after some sensational performances with Leicester Riders.
The guard showed why she will soon be lighting it up in the NCAA with the prestigious Oregon Ducks after a blistering set of games that included four consecutive starting slots in the weekly WBBL All-Star Five.
Three of those came within the December period, with Winterburn gaining particular attention for her stellar triple-double against Manchester Mystics.
That contributed to a December haul of 19.8 points, 6.6 rebounds, 5 assists and 2 steals per game across her five outings.
Winterburn fought off competition from Jasmine Joyner for the award, with the Nottingham Wildcats’ forward having posted some eye-popping numbers during the latter part of the month.
