The early stages of the WBBL Trophy continued on Sunday afternoon as Sevenoaks, Sheffield and Oaklands all racked up victories.

A week after Hatters made history by lifting their maiden WBBL Cup, there was a familiar feel to this WBBL Trophy success against Mystics, since it was Cup MVP Sarah Toeaina who starred once again. She accumulated a spectacular 32 points and 14 boards in a 94-80 victory.

Essex Rebels felt the wrath of beaten Cup Finalists Sevenoaks as the Suns completed a 94-45 demolition behind 19 points from Janice Monakana and also 16 points and 8 assists from Cat Carr.

Finally, Oaklands Wolves can breathe a sigh of relief after they made up for Saturday’s Trophy loss by going 1-1 via a 64-84 success at Cardiff Met Archers. Anneke Schluter led the way with 22 points.
