First Final for Durham, Riders take top spot

Durham Palatinates are looking forward to a first ever showpiece Final after they booked their place at the Emirates Arena in Glasgow next month for the Betty Codona Trophy with a stellar 82-71 Semi-Final success against Westfield Health Sheffield Hatters.

Rudiane Eduardo impressed with 23 points, captain Monika Bosilj netted 20 points and Harriet Ottewill-Soulsby dropped 18 points in an excellent shooting display that cemented a historical result.

In the WBBL Championship, Leicester Riders moved into top spot as they strolled past Caledonia Pride 66-85 with Holly Winterburn particularly impressive. The guard racked up 23 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists.

Meanwhile Oaklands Wolves are now occupying a Play-Off spot after jumping into the top 8 after securing a convincing 52-76 road success at Cardiff Met Archers. Roya Rustamzada was influential with 16 points, 7 assists and 6 boards.

Finally, Manchester Mystics wrapped up their Trophy Group stage campaign with a 58-69 win at Nottingham Wildcats.
