Jorgensen jumps back to Archers for 2019-20

Sara Jorgensen is relishing the chance to extend her WBBL career with Cardiff Met Archers for another year after the only Welsh club in the league confirmed she has re-signed for 2019-20.

With key names such as Sarah Wagstaff, Laura Shanahan, Stef Collins, Justine Ferland and Robyn Lewis already returned, the Archers will cement even more continuity with Jorgensen suiting up once again.

“I am looking forward to building on what we had last year to reach our potential as a team,” said the Swede.

“It would be great for our team to finish in the top six next season. It is fun to be a part of the development of a relatively new league that is striving to be better every season!

Meanwhile player-coach Stef Collins emphasised the importance of Jorgensen and enthused: “Sara is a dynamic guard who has a great skill set and we’re thrilled to see her return for a second season with the Archers.

“She is a great competitor who will help push us in achieving our goals this season, especially when she is aggressive at the offensive end,” added the play-caller.
