Big Saturday wins for Mystics, Eagles and Palatinates

Newcastle Eagles are sat proudly at the top of the WBBL Championship standings after Chris Bunten and his side continued their hot streak with another victory and power-packed team performance.

They rode out 96-69 winners at Oaklands Wolves as Mante Kvederaviciute showed out with 31 points and 13 assists, while Lisa Koop landed a monstrous double-double of 20 points and 21 rebounds.

Manchester Mystics moved into third spot as they claimed the impressive scalp of Leicester Riders in a nail-biter, with Sam Roscoe and Georgia Jones combining for 40 points in a 73-68 victory.

Finally, Durham Palatinates also took down high-flying opposition by outpacing the visiting Nottingham Wildcats 81-74. Claire Paxton excelled with 20 points, as did Dee Hayward with 15 points and 11 assists.
