Essex Rebels today welcomed young talented guard Jade Mbam who joins the Rebels for the coming 2021-22 season.

An up and coming British player, Mbam had a great junior career in Manchester where she also earned an opportunity with the Manchester Mystics in the WBBL the last two years under the guidance of Jeff Jones.

Mbam will also be continuing her education at the University of Essex as she will be studying for a undergraduate degree in Sociology.

“I am really looking forward to working with Jade over the next three years whilst she studies for her undergraduate degree at the University of Essex,” said Tom Sadler, Head of Basketball Performance.

“She is one of the country’s most talented juniors and we are really excited in helping her continue to develop in the Rebels programme.”
