Newcastle vastly improved in the second half and outscored their opponents 27-13 in the third quarter to reduce the deficit to single digits. Sheffield responded with a dominant effort in the defensive end to close out the game as they held the Eagles to 11 points in the final quarter to round out a comfortable win.
