Essex Rebels have announced the return of 5’11” Guard Tia Freeman.

The British guard recently helped guide the University of Essex to their first ever National championship, as well as positing season averages of eight pts and 3.4 assists in the WBBL.

She commented her best on court moment would be getting their first home win in the previous season as she was new to the team last year.

Tia will continue her education studying for a post-graduate degree in Global Digital Marketing while continuing her playing career with the Essex Rebels in the WBBL. She’ll also be stepping up into leadership role this season as she becomes one of three captains.

“It means a lot to play for the Essex Rebels, the culture at the club is incredible and getting to play with the talented players on the squad here every day is a great opportunity,” said Tia.
