Leicester Riders reached the Betty Codona WBBL Trophy Final – which they’ll contest against London Lions live on Sky Sports at Emirates Arena on Sunday – leading to a pair of representatives in the latest All-Star 5, led by a debut for Great Britain forward Kirsty Brown.

Kirsty Brown – Leicester Riders
Great Britain international forward Kirsty Brown makes her first All-Star 5 appearance of the season after an outstanding all-round performance saw Riders through to the Betty Codona WBBL Trophy Final with a big win on the road at Newcastle Eagles in the semi-final. She finished with 18 points on 8-10 (80%) shooting, adding six rebounds, four assists and two steals, including six points in the opening five minutes to help establish a lead, followed by eight points in the fourth period, including two put-backs from her own offensive boards, as Riders kept their hosts at arm’s length.

Holly Winterburn – London Lions
Great Britain international guard Holly Winterburn is joint-third in overall All-Star 5 appearances this season, making her sixth so far and third in the last four weeks after Lions scored a big home win over Essex Rebels at the Copper Box Arena on Sunday. She characteristically did a bit of everything as she scored 15 points, with seven assists, six rebounds and three steals, pulling the strings early on with the first score of the game and three assists in the opening exchanges as Lions poured in 33 in the first period and led from tip to buzzer.

Ashley Arlen – Leicester Riders
Also making her sixth showing of the season in the weekly team, joint-third overall, Ashley Arlen was another standout in Leicester’s Betty Codona WBBL Trophy semi-final victory on Saturday. She shot 3-4 (75%) inside and 3-6 (50%) from the three-point line on her way to 17 points, as Riders’ captain also grabbed six rebounds with three assists and three steals, including a trio of three-pointers among 13 points in the decisive second stanza, and a buzzer-beater on the half that gave Riders a commanding double-figure lead.

Téa Adams – Caledonia Gladiators
Caledonia Gladiators made it back-to-back wins to climb back into the top four of the WBBL Championship table by beating Nottingham Wildcats at home on Saturday, leading to a second All-Star 5 appearance for American guard Téa Adams. She came from the bench to score 16 points in 21 minutes, shooting 6-8 (75%) on the inside, with eight rebounds and four steals, including an impactful six points, three rebounds, a steal and a block as she emerged from the bench to spark a 12-2 burst that broke an early tie, Gladiators never looking back.

Shannon Hatch – Cardiff Met Archers
Cardiff Met Archers made it back-to-back wins to strengthen their hold on eighth place, the final WBBL Play-off spot, with a home win over Oaklands Wolves on Saturday, leading to a fourth All-Star 5 appearance for captain Shannon Hatch. She posted a big double-double of 16 points and 15 rebounds, also handing out five assists and nabbing three steals, including an unbelievable nine boards to go with her three early points in the opening eight minutes as Archers started 19-9 and didn’t trail thereafter.
