The All-British Team of the Year features the League’s best Brits as voted by the League’s Head Coaches and Captains.
This year’s roster is full of talent that has represented Great Britain in previous years, including the current National Team captain, two WNBA talents and three debutants to this award.
Temi Fagbenle – London Lions
One of the most dominant players in the history of the British game, Temi Fagbenle’s debut season in the League has not disappointed by any stretch as the Team GB Olympian has taken the competition by storm in her first season with the London Lions.
Despite averaging just 17 minutes per contest, the Lions captain has contributed numbers not far off the League-leading marks in all major statistical categories – all of which are categories led by players who played significantly more minutes – as she’s been an unstoppable force when out there on the hardwood.

Holly Winterburn – London Lions
What a year Holly Winterburn has had. Her selection to the All-British Team is her fifth consecutive nomination and fifth overall – only the legendary Georgia Anderson can claim to better that with six in each instance – and it’s merely the latest in a long list of accolades secured by the 23-year-old.
Playing fewer minutes domestically for the Lions this season as she’s balanced her part in an unbeaten League campaign with a historic EuroCup success, those reduced minutes haven’t hampered Winterburn’s efficiency and effectiveness when she’s out there on the floor.
Having been in the League since she was 15 years old, Winterburn has long since been one of its biggest stars and has a perfect opportunity in the next 10 days to conclude a historic campaign in fitting fashion at The O2… if she can help the Lions retain their Playoff crown.
Georgia Gayle – B. Braun Sheffield Hatters
Enjoying perhaps her best campaign to date in the League on an individual level, Gayle was next up to be named in this roster with 17 of a possible 20 votes, signalling her second consecutive selection after debuting in the side last year.
Talismanic for the Hatters and leading them throughout the season in points and assists, Gayle has been instrumental in guiding the team to a third-place finish and has also starred for the National Team, who tipped off their EuroBasket 2025 qualifying campaign earlier this season.
Karlie Samuelson – London Lions
The London Lions have turned heads for many seasons now with their summer recruitment, but bringing in WNBA and EuroLeague veteran Karlie Samuelson for this campaign certainly captured considerable attention – and rightly so!
Averaging 15 points, four rebounds and three assists per contest in just 19 minutes of action, Samuelson in relatively limited minutes has shown plenty of the qualities that have made her a star contributor at the highest levels of club and National Team basketball for the last several years.
A star of Great Britain’s historic success at EuroBasket 2019, where the team secured a best-ever finish of fourth, Samuelson was part of more British basketball history this season as she won Finals MVP on the way to helping London secure the EuroCup title.
Sam Ashby – Leicester Riders
As debut professional campaigns go, Sam Ashby’s has been pretty spectacular. The Riders guard has made her National Team debut, won Molten Player of the Month honours, was selected as an All-Star starter in March and now she earns an All-British Team nomination to top it all off.
Ranking second for the Leicester Riders in points (13.6) and assists (3.3) per game, as well as leading the roster in steals (1.8) per contest, Ashby can have few complaints about her first pro season and completes this star-studded All-British Team of the Year.
