The All-League Team of the Year features the country’s toughest hoopers as voted by the competition’s Head Coaches and Captains.
This year’s roster is full of talent that have set the League alight this term, including three WNBA stars and two elite hoopers who have had outstanding first seasons in the League.
Temi Fagbenle – London Lions
One of the most dominant players in the history of the British game, Temi Fagbenle’s debut season in the League has not disappointed by any stretch as the Team GB Olympian has taken the competition by storm in her first season with the London Lions.
Despite averaging just 17 minutes per contest, the Lions captain has contributed numbers not far off the League-leading marks in all major statistical categories – all of which are categories led by players who play significantly more minutes – as she’s been an unstoppable force when out there on the hardwood.
Megan Gustafson – London Lions
Joining her fellow front-court phenom Fagbenle on the roster, Megan Gustafson has had an outstanding campaign for the Lions both domestically and in Europe.
Leading a loaded London side in scoring and ranking third on the roster in rebounding, the Spanish international took home Betty Codona Trophy Final MVP honours in January and has also starred on the highest level for her country earlier this year as she helped guide Spain to the Paris 2024 Summer Olympic Games.
Karlie Samuelson – London Lions
The London Lions have turned heads for many a season now with their summer recruitment, but bringing in WNBA and EuroLeague veteran Karlie Samuelson for this campaign certainly captured considerable attention – and rightly so!
Averaging 15 points, four rebounds and three assists per contest in just 19 minutes of action, Samuelson in relatively limited minutes has shown plenty of the qualities that have made her a star contributor at the highest levels of club and National Team basketball for the last several years.
Kat Tudor – Essex Rebels
Joining Samuelson in the roster is another lights-out shooter as Essex’s Kat Tudor becomes the club’s first-ever representative in the All-League Team of the Year after a standout debut campaign for the Rebels.
One of the League’s leading scorers for the duration of the campaign, trailing only the record-breaking Durham star Janika Griffith Wallace and Newcastle’s Tierra Hodges, Tudor was instrumental in Essex’s run to the Betty Codona Trophy Final and their best-ever Championship finish of fifth place.
Taylor O’Brien – Leicester Riders
Another Rider who has had a spectacular debut campaign – alongside her teammate Sam Ashby, who made the All-British Team of the Year – Taylor O’Brien has been unstoppable for Ben Stanley’s Leicester this season.
Her most recent performance in the League – a 21-point, 17-rebound, six-assist masterclass in her Playoff debut for Leicester – is a sneak peek into the explosive outputs O’Brien has brought to the floor all season long, and her nomination to this roster is a fitting reward for a standout rookie campaign.
