The B. Braun Sheffield Hatters are pleased to announce the signing of Rachel Cockman for the 2026/27 season.

The 23-year-old 6’2” centre, hailing from Cantwell, Alaska, USA, signs for the Hatters for the new Super League Basketball season. Rachel last played for Galitos in Portugal averaging 7.2 points and 7.2 rebounds per game. Cockman spent 4 seasons at the Western Colorado University in NCAAW, averaging 12.7 points, 7.3 rebounds and 1.2 blocks per game in her senior year.. 

Rachel is excited to be joining the Hatters, stating: 

“I’m really looking forward to joining the Hatters this season. It will be a great experience to join such an historic team in a league I’ve heard a lot of good things about. Of course the success the team had last year is something we all want to strive for again this season.”

Sheffield Hatters Head Coach Vanessa Ellis stated: 

“Rachel will provide some great size and presence in the paint on both ends of the floor. I’m excited to see her game in the league and feel she will fit our roster this season very well. I’m delighted she has signed with us for 2026/27.”
