The top three seeds are safely through the WBBL Play-off quarter-finals with all of this week’s All-Star 5 drawn from Caledonia Gladiators, Leicester Riders and London Lions, led by Great Britain international forward Jamila Thompson.

Jamila Thompson – Caledonia Gladiators
The second-placed Caledonia Gladiators are comfortably through to the Play-off semi-finals after beating Cardiff Met Archers at Emirates Arena on Saturday, led by British forward Jamila Thompson’s first All-Star 5 appearance of the season. She put up a big double-double of 15 points, on 7-9 (77%) shooting, and 15 rebounds, including six points and four boards in a dominant 30-8 opening quarter that all but settled the tie.

McKenzie Johnston – Leicester Riders
McKenzie Johnston features in the All-Star 5 for the second consecutive week, and fifth time overall this season, after third-placed Leicester Riders prevailed through overtime to beat Essex Rebels in the WBBL Play-off quarter-finals on Sunday. With two triple-doubles on the season she was eyeing up another as she finished with 19 points, nine rebounds and six assists, with five of those boards coming at the offensive end as 18 second chance points proved crucial for Riders.

Fiona O’Dwyer – Leicester Riders
Irish international forward Fiona O’Dwyer led Leicester’s scoring in the nail-biting overtime win over Essex, leading to her first All-Star 5 appearance of the season. She scored 23 points and hit 4-7 (57%) from the three-point line, along with nine rebounds, scoring a pair of triples among eight fourth quarter points as Riders won the decisive period 20-10 to come back from double-figures down to force the extra five minutes.

Ty Battle – London Lions
The league champion London Lions are safely through to the Play-off semi-finals after beating Newcastle Eagles at Crystal Palace, led by Ty Battle as she makes her second consecutive showing in the weekly team, and fourth overall. In under 18 minutes, she scored 15 points on 6-9 (66%) shooting and grabbed eight rebounds, making up for two early fouls by scoring 11 points with four rebounds in just six minutes on the run up to half time, with Lions well in charge by that point.

Téa Adams – Caledonia Gladiators
The other standout among a great team performance as Caledonia had six players score in double-figures against Archers was American guard Téa Adams, for her fourth All-Star 5 appearance and second in a row. She finished with 13 points, six rebounds, four assists and two steals, including an ‘and-one’ play in the first quarter that put Gladiators up double-figures.
