It’s our last fab five of 2018 as the curtain falls on the calendar year.

Chelsey Shumpert (Nottingham Wildcats)
A bonafide season MVP candidate after her scorching start to her rookie campaign in the WBBL, Shumpert was integral to the win at Mystics. She brought the backcourt noise for Wildcats with a super 26 points and 9 assists.

Tia Weledji (Caledonia Pride)
Caledonia Pride produced their best basketball of the season to put the visiting Cardiff Met Archers to the sword and Weldji was at the heart of it. She poured in 26 points and added 12 boards and 4 assists.

Brea Elmore (Leicester Riders)
It was a sweet win for Riders as they pipped Sharks on the road and fittingly, Elmore hit the buzzer-beater. She had been the standout player in the contest and eventually harvested 21 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists.

Roya Rustamzada (Oaklands Wolves)
There have not been too many high points for Wolves so far, but this was very enjoyable as they took the win at Durham. It’s a debut berth for Rustamzada who spearheaded the victory with an impressive 21 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals.

Jasmine Joyner (Nottingham Wildcats)
The forward had two weekend performances that were starter-worthy, but none more so than her spectacular near triple-double at Mystics. Joyner brought the power big-time with a jaw-dropping 19 points, 23 rebounds and a majestic 9 blocked shots.
