There were some incredible performances last weekend , including the best of the 2018-19 season so far.
Tia Freeman (Oaklands Wolves)
It’s consecutive appearances for Freeman who was excellent again for Oaklands as they recorded their biggest ever win. The guard cut down Cardiff as her team moved into the Play-Off spots off the back of her 13 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 steals.
Chelsey Shumpert (Nottingham Wildcats)
As usual, it was the scoring prowess of Shumpert that rose to the fore as Wildcats moved back into the top four of the standings. Her superb 31 points and 7 assists was integral to Nottingham breezing past the visiting Caledonia Pride.
DeAngelique Waithe (Essex Rebels)
History happened for Rebels as they claimed their first ever road win as a WBBL franchise. They were too strong for Archers in South Wales as Waithe brought the noise with a towering effort that returned 20 points, 14 board, 4 assists and 2 blocks.
Sarah Toeaina (Westfield Health Sheffield Hatters)
The week before the WBBL Cup Final, Toeaina reminded us why she is an MVP contender by helping Hatters to maintain their title challenge after squeezing past Durham. The Sheffield star came away with a powerful 22 points, 11 rebounds and 3 assists.
Jasmine Joyner (Nottingham Wildcats)
Joyner torched Caledonia Pride in spectacular style as she recorded the best individual display of the 2018-19 campaign. She propelled Wildcats to victory with a jaw dropping double-double of 24 points and 19 boards – as well as 6 blocks and 3 steals.
