The B. Braun Sheffield Hatters have added another exciting talent to their roster, confirming the signing of former Newcastle Eagle Antoinette Lewis for the 2025/26 Super League Basketball (SLB) season.
The 26-year-old 6’1” centre, hailing from Memphis, Tennessee, has signed for the Hatters for the new Super League Basketball season. Lewis played for ZKK Zagreb in Croatia for the 2024/25 season, averaging 11.5 points, 7.9 rebounds and 1.9 steals per game.
The American has previously played in Spain and Romania, but most notably in the UK for the Newcastle Eagles in the 2022/23 season, where she averaged 16 points, 10.4 rebounds and 2.3 steals per game.
Lewis expressed her excitement at joining the Hatters, stating:
“I’m really excited to sign for the Hatters this season. I enjoyed my time in Newcastle a few years ago, so I’m looking forward to coming back to the league. It’s a great facility now in Sheffield and I can’t wait for the season to get started!”
Sheffield Hatters Head Coach Vanessa Ellis added:
“Antoinette is a great addition for us. She has a good knowledge of the league and what it takes to have an impact here, and I’m looking forward to working with her this season. We have put together a competitive roster for the new season and I’m looking forward to getting preseason underway shortly.”
