Cardiff Met Archers are putting the finishing touches to their roster as they confirmed the return of Levi Warren and Justine Ferland to their line-up – as well as a couple of promotions.

The pair will be joined for the 2018-19 WBBL season by both Beth Jones and Azeb Smalley, who are being elevated from NBL Divison 2 participation by play-caller, Stef Collins.

“It is great to see Azeb and Beth step up for their debut in the WBBL,” said the player-coach.

“Both have been committed and valued members of the Archers programme, as players at the university and with our NBL team.

“They are heavily involved in our club as coaches and various supporting roles, who have given so much to the programme and basketball in Wales over the years. I’m pleased to see them take this step in their playing careers and know they will continue to develop this season with the WBBL.”

She continued: “It is great to have Justine and Levi signing for another season with the Archers.

“Their commitment, effort and desire to improve means they are the kind of players we want in the programme. I look forward to playing alongside them this season!”

Archers may also look to recruit another new face for the campaign but are keeping their options open.
