Having joined Oaklands Wolves midway through the 2017-18 campaign, Meg Pritchard will be suiting up from the new season tip-off this time, after an agreement was made with her to remain with the Hertfordshire club.

The 5ft 11in versatile guard/forward, will return after replacing the injured Kellie Ring at the start of the current calendar year, when she secured an immediate impact as Wolves posted an exciting four-game winning streak with her in the line-up.

Pritchard put in some top performances during key games down the season stretch and has earned herself a full season back with the Wolves as a result. Featuring in 10 games, she shot 40% from the field and contributed 7 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assist per outing.

Wolves’ Head Coach, Lee Ryan commented: “We are delighted to bring Meg back this year. It’s a tough task to come into a programme part way through, but she did a fantastic job of acclimatising, raising our playing level and she is a great character to have around the programme.

“I know she will be even better this year after a full pre-season with us,” added the play-caller.

The dynamic Aussie returned to play SBL this summer with her home town Norwood Flames in Adelaide and has been averaging over 10 points and 4 rebounds per game – recording an impressive summer high 23 points against Eastern Mavericks.

Pritchard cannot wait to return to WBBL action and stated: “I’m excited to be wearing the Oaklands colours for a second year and this time from day one of the season!

“We fell just short of our target last year, but I saw huge strides made as a programme. It’s still a developing group, but I’m certain we will come out bigger and better this season.”

Wolves will announce another European International player tomorrow, as they continue to build their roster.
