An important Saturday, with four games played, has seen much movement in the WBBL Championship table with Westfield Health Sheffield Hatters leading a shuffle of the top four.
Hatters have gone to the summit of the table – ahead of Sevenoaks Suns, in action on Sunday – after Helen Naylor’s 26 points led them to an 86-73 win over Oaklands Wolves, keeping them unbeaten at home.
Leicester Riders are up to third, knocking Manchester Mystics down to fourth, after Holly Winterburn made a rare triple-double as they won 93-72 on the road in Manchester.
Nottingham Wildcats strengthened their place in fifth after beating the seventh-placed Newcastle Eagles 82-60 after a big third quarter, led by 22 points and 13 rebounds from Jasmine Joyner.
Finally, Cardiff Met Archers won at home for the first time in more than a year as Sarah Wagstaff’s 27 points saw them past BA London Lions 63-55, who were also the last team they beat at Archers Arena in October 2017.
