Westfield Health Sheffield Hatters have turned to Sarah Toeaina to bring the noise in the backcourt this season.

The 5ft 11in guard will make her debut in the WBBL when the action gets underway next month, having impressed during her four years in the NCAA at Hawaii.

She earned first-team Big West honours for the second consecutive year by averaging 16.4 points and 6.1 rebounds in her senior season, while shooting a stunning 52 percent from the floor – also becoming the 21st member of the 1,000 point club at the College.

A stand out athlete, Toeaina was once named Athlete of the Year by the Seattle Times, with her presence a major boost for not only Hatters, but also the WBBL itself as excitement builds ahead of the new campaign.

Toeaina will join fellow new arrivals to the team in the form of Portuguese national team centre Luiana Livulo and Molten WBBL 2017-18 Team of the Year member, Alison Gorrell.
