Westfield Health Sheffield Hatters will put Luiana Livulo centre stage in their 2018-19 WBBL campaign after the Portugal national team player agreed a move to South Yorkshire.

The player recently competed against Great Britain in the FIBA Women’s EuroBasket 2019 Qualifiers and from next month, she will find herself playing her club basketball in the UK.

The 27-year old has not only played in her own domestic league in Portugal with GDESSA Barreiro and Sport Lisboa Benfica, but has recently competed in Liga Femenina in Spain with Cadi La Seu and Campus Promete – as well as with GiroLive Panthers Osnabruck in Germany’s DBBL.

A graduate of UCLA, the 6ft 3in Livulo is the club’s first new arrival and will suit up alongside popular returnees, Naomi Campbell and Helen Naylor.
