Westfield Health Sheffield Hatters have signalled their intention to get back amongst the silverware during the forthcoming campaign after making a move for Molten WBBL 2017-18 Team of the Year member, Alison Gorrell.

After a couple of explosive and highly productive seasons wearing Team Northumbria colours, the all-action star is taking her extensive skill-set to Yorkshire.

Gorrell was on fire all last year at Northumbria, carrying her side through an injury ravaged campaign, with her versatility absolutely crucial as she came up with a string of monstrous displays.

Hatters will be hoping she can be just as influential this time around, after racking up an eye-bulging 18.2 points, 7.6 boards, 4.9 assists and 3.2 steals per game at her former club last season.

Gorrell will line-up alongside another new face in Luiana Livulo, as well as the returning Helen Naylor, Naomi Campbell, Deborah Rodriguez and Ana Santana Gonzalez.
