Hatters & Suns Unbeaten, Wolves & Pride Progress

A busy Saturday in the WBBL has seen two unbeaten records preserved, and one fall, in the WBBL Championship, while two other sides made it through to the WBBL Cup quarter-finals for the first time.

In the first of two huge league clashes, Westfield Health Sheffield Hatters remain top of the table with a 6-0 record after edging perennial rivals Nottingham Wildcats 76-73, scoring the final six points of the game to overcome a late deficit.

Sevenoaks Suns also remain unbeaten, one win back on 5-0 after a successful visit to Leicester Riders, Judit Fritz leading them to a 73-64 victory after they had to dig themselves out of a big early hole.

Meanwhile, in the WBBL Cup, Caledonia Pride have progressed to the quarter-finals for the first time after beating Cardiff Met Archers 64-55 with Rosanna Reynolds posting a double-double of 14 points and 10 rebounds.

And they are joined by Oaklands Wolves after a buzzer-beating three-pointer from Krizstina Nagy saw them beat BA London Lions 73-71 in overtime.
