Cardiff Met Archers were looking to land a major upset live on YouTube in their match-up with FLT Peterman Sheffield Hatters, but just fell short 82-78 after Cristina Bigica dropped a stellar 31 points for the Welsh side.
But, the visitors had an inspirational force of their own to rely on, as Rosinha Rosario erupted for a mammoth double-double of 20 points and 19 rebounds.
Sevenoaks Suns proved to have far too much quality for the still winless BA London Lions as they strolled to a 70-41 success to return to the top of the league table.
Cat Carr did the business in a big way and was just one assist short of a triple-double after scoring 12 points and pulling down 10 rebounds. Janice Monakana also weighed in with 16 points.
Finally, Nottingham Wildcats completed another weekend win-double as they had few difficulties getting past Caledonia Pride 76-41. The victory, which took Wildcats into the top four of the standings, was founded on 21 points from the red-hot Simone Costa, plus a 14 point and 10 rebound double-double by Jasmine Joyner.
