LIME named Official Renewable Energy Partner of Super League Basketball

LIME has been named the Official Renewable Energy Partner of Super League Basketball (SLB)’s Women’s League bringing together a growing UK renewable energy business and the country’s top tier of women’s basketball.

The partnership marks a further step in LIME’s national growth. The Glasgow-based company, which helps homes and businesses adopt solar power and battery storage, has expanded its presence across England and Wales alongside its established operations in Scotland.

For LIME, the partnership is an opportunity to support elite women’s sport and help raise the profile of a league whose clubs serve communities across the country. It also reflects the company’s belief that business growth should go hand in hand with positive local impact.

Jonny Wilson, Head of Commercial at LIME, said:

“LIME is delighted to be partnering with Super League Basketball, supporting the Women’s League as Official Renewable Energy Partner. At LIME, we believe that sustainability and positive community impact go hand in hand. Women’s sport continues to grow at an incredible pace, and we’re proud to support a league that provides a platform for elite athletes while inspiring the next generation.

“This partnership is about more than simply putting our name alongside a great sporting environment. It’s about sharing a commitment to progress, ambition and creating a more sustainable future.

“We’re incredibly excited to work with Super League Basketball and to play our part in supporting the continued growth of the women’s game. We’re proud to be part of the journey”

Jim Saker, Women’s League Chair, Super League Basketball said:

“Partnering with Lime Energy as the Official Renewable Energy Partner of the Women’s League is a really exciting step for Super League Basketball. We’re proud to work with a business that shares our ambition to grow the women’s game and create meaningful opportunities around it.

“This partnership will help us continue to build the profile of the league, while connecting Lime Energy with an increasingly engaged and passionate basketball audience. We’re looking forward to working together throughout the season and seeing where the partnership can take us.”

LIME has been growing its UK team as demand for renewable energy solutions increases. The company announced in June that it had created 30 jobs across Scotland, England and Wales since April 2026 and was planning further recruitment. Its partnership with Super League Basketball is the latest development as the business builds its national presence.
