More guns for Suns with return of Munns

Sevenoaks Suns are making a serious statement of intent ahead of the new WBBL season after continuing to build an impressive roster with the arrival of Ashleigh Munns.

Having originally cut her teeth at the club and also a former youth international, the guard returns to Suns having played NCAA basketball at Southern Utah Thunderbirds.

“I am really happy that Ashleigh has decided to play for Suns this year,” said Sevenoaks play-caller Len Busch.

“She played for Suns as a junior and played for me in the England U18 team that won promotion in 2012.

“After four years playing in the states, she wasn’t sure she wanted to play in the WBBL.  But, after watching us play last year in the Play-Offs and in the Final at the O2, she realised that she missed playing high level basketball.

“I can’t wait to coach her again and her athleticism and shooting should fit in nicely with Suns,” added Busch.

Further announcements on what is shaping up to be an exciting roster are planned for coming days.
