Nottingham Wildcats edged out Caledonia Pride in a thrilling Cup Final in front of a record WBBL crowd at Arena Birmingham.
The Wildcats put last year’s disappointment behind them as they held on down the stretch as Pride made a late fightback.

Turning point – Pride led 20-22 in the second period, but were never ahead in the second half. Wildcats pulled away at the start of the third before coming through a late scare.
Key stat – The Wildcats had 24 assists compared to just nine turnovers, whilst converting 19 of 21 from the foul line.
Game hero(es) – Ashley Harris edged MVP honours with 19 points and nine rebounds, while Onayssa Sbahi handed out an impressive 14 assists with Aleysha Lovett and Lana Doran also in double figures with important scores in the second half.
