Oaklands Wolves maintain their stranglehold at the top of the Super League Basketball Championship table, whilst the B. Braun Sheffield Hatters bounced back in style.

There was also an impressive win for Caledonia Gladiators on their home floor in a three-game slate. Cardiff Met Archers vs London Lions was called off due to the adverse weather.

Newcastle Eagles 57-93 B. Braun Sheffield Hatters

B. Braun Sheffield Hatters led for the vast majority as they comfortably saw-off the Newcastle Eagles 93-57 on Tyneside.

Tyia Singleton shot 57% from the floor, as she led five Hatters players in double figures with 21 points. Sheffield led from the first quarter onwards, holding the Eagles to just 33% from the field.

Abby Lowe and Jada Guinn both had 12 points to lead Newcastle.

Nottingham Wildcats 73-89 Oaklands Wolves

Oaklands Wolves remain unbeaten after seven games as they dismissed the Nottingham Wildcats 89-73 in the East Midlands.

A 32-12 first quarter proved to be the catalyst for the latest Oaklands win, as they enjoy their best start to a season in history.

Lavinia Da Silva led a balanced scoring effort from the Wolves with 19 points as all Oaklands players that saw court time registered a field goal.

Claire Jacobs led the Wildcats resistance with 31 points and seven rebounds.

Caledonia Gladiators 93-71 Essex Rebels

Caledonia Gladiators started hot and never cooled off as they beat the Essex Rebels at PlaySport.

Delaynie Bryne drained three triples and had 19 points, supported by Great Britain international Hannah Robb’s 15 as the Gladiators secured a deserved 93-71 win.

After a closely-fought first five minutes, Caledonia broke the game open in the latter stages of the opening period, en route to a 34-18 advantage with their lead peaking at 25 points.

Taylor O’ Brien provided some positivity for Essex, as she led all scorers with 28 points, but it wasn’t enough.
