Two significant games in the chase for the WBBL Championship Play-off places have seen Caledonia Pride strengthen their position as Durham Palatinates keep up the chase, with both producing great defensive performances.

For Pride, it was their best defensive showing of the campaign as they overpowered BA London Lions 64-46 with Tricia Oakes scoring 20 points as they moved a win clear of Cardiff Met Archers and Oaklands Wolves in seventh spot.

And Archers fell to Palatinates, 66-52 at home as Cierra Ceazer posted a big double-double of 23 points and 11 rebounds for the visitors. The 14 point winning margin proved crucial in giving the tenth-placed Palatinates the head-to-head, as they made it three wins in four to get within reach of the top eight.
