Super League Basketball is delighted to announce the winner of the Molten Most Valuable Player award for the 2025/26 season, following a voting process involving the League’s Head Coaches and Captains.
Capping off a spectacular debut season in SLB, B. Braun Sheffield Hatters’ Megan Mullings has taken the top individual honour for players in this campaign’s awards, adding the MVP title to her Defensive Player of the Year, All-League Team and All-Defensive Team of the Year nominations.
The Betty Codona Trophy Final MVP averaged 18.1 points, 8.1 rebounds, 2.2 assists and two steals per game for the Hatters as they’ve stormed to Championship, Cup and Betty Codona Trophy glory thus far this season, with one game still to play this Sunday at The O2 against Caledonia, with a historic quadruple on the line.
Reflecting on her success, Mullings said:
“I am so grateful and deeply humbled to win Molten Most Valuable Player for the 2025/26 season. I did not anticipate nor expect this, I came here just to try and play my best basketball, work my butt off and play with a team that encouraged me to bring my best and a coaching staff that believed in me. I found all those things in Sheffield.
“To be voted to win this award by the captains and coaches is an incredible feeling. I try my best to do what is best for the game and above all else I respect this game for everything it has given me in my life. Winning MVP means I get to go home to my family and tell them I’m a champion, an MVP, that what I do is important, it matters and is changing the game, and all I ever wanted to do was leave this game better than I found it.
“Being named MVP means maybe some little girl somewhere looks at me and thinks they want to do that one day. It’s such a privilege and an honour to be given this award. I really appreciate my team for constantly pushing me and encouraging me to be the best version of myself, and for trusting me in big moments. I’m so grateful to be part of the B. Braun Sheffield Hatters this season, I’m excited for The O2 and what that has in store for us too.”

Voters were asked to choose their top three selections for the award, with the first choice earning three points, the second choice two points and the third choice one point, with the player who accrues the most points overall winning the award.
