Sunday wins for Suns, Riders and Northumbria

It was the reigning WBBL champions against the unbeaten leaders on Sunday afternoon and Sevenoaks Suns showed their status as potential champions elect after beating Nottingham Wildcats 69-65 to stay perfect off the back of 18 points from Judit Fritz.

Leicester Riders are still chasing Suns hard and they are in a good position to maintain some pressure in case of a slip-up. They made it two wins in as many days as they beat BA London Lions 78-65 with a powerful last quarter, as well as 14 points and 13 boards from Kate Oliver.

As well as Lions, Durham Palatinates are also still looking for a first league win after they were also undone by their opponents in the last period. They were beaten 85-78 by Team Northumbria in a local derby, as Alison Gorrell produced one of the lines of the season with 22 points and 19 rebounds.
