The top two sides in the WBBL Championship showed why they are flying so high after both Sevenoaks Suns and Leicester Riders tipped off their respective WBBL Trophy campaigns with one-sided victories.

A blistering start from Sevenoaks propelled them to a 42-62 win at Oaklands Wolves, with Julia Koppl impressing after dropping an efficient 17 points.

Meanwhile Leicester also soared from the tip at Cardiff Met Archers, completing a comprehensive 40-75 triumph behind a superb defensive effort and 25 points from Scottish guard, Dee Hayward.
