Sevenoaks Suns maintained their 100% record in the WBBL Championship with a second league victory on Sunday afternoon to move to 2-0 as they took down Newcastle Eagles 67-59.
Having endured a nightmare trip to Tyneside after breaking down en-route to the game, they were in the fast lane on the court at the Eagles Community Arena.
It was captain Cat Carr who came up trumps as she went close to a triple-double with a dazzling 22 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists.
The defeat was tough on a number of Eagles players who all returned highly productive showings, including forward Georgia Ohrdorf who claimed a 13-point and 14-rebound double-double, while Anja Fuchs-Robetin had an all-action 15 points, 10 boards and 6 assists.
