There has been some movement in the WBBL Championship table after five games on Saturday saw Sevenoaks Suns rise to the summit, with significant changes between fourth and eighth.

Cat Carr and Ta’Yani Clarke led Suns to a 61-56 road win at Cardiff Met Archers, meaning that they remain unbeaten with a 6-0 record and join Westfield Health Sheffield Hatters at the top of the table.

That enabled Pride to leapfrog Archers, after they won away at Durham Palatinates 65-58, led by Tricia Oakes in a strong second half performance that turned around a half time deficit.

And Pride also jumped over Nottingham Wildcats, after they were beaten in the most thrilling game of the day, 70-68 by Team Northumbria in overtime, as Ali Gorrell led the hosts with a huge double-double of 27 points and 10 rebounds.

Elsewhere, Leicester Riders moved clear in third place in the table after using a fourth quarter surge to beat Oaklands Wolves 76-65 with Jamila Thompson posting a big double-double to rival Gorrell for the individual performance of the day.

Finally, Manchester Mystics had to come from behind at home to beat BA London Lions 54-39 with a big run over the third and fourth quarter break, led by Georgia Jones and Dominuqe Allen, as they moved up to fourth.
