Super League Basketball (SLB) has today unveiled the fixture schedule for the 2026/27 Women’s season, with another exciting campaign set to begin on Saturday 3 October.
Fans across the country can now start planning for a season that promises fierce rivalries, compelling storylines and a battle for silverware, as the league’s ten clubs prepare to compete for the Women’s Championship, Betty Codona Cup and Play-off titles.
The opening weekend sees five games tip off across England and Scotland. Cardiff Met Archers welcome the B. Braun Sheffield Hatters in the first game of the new campaign on Saturday 3 October, while Nottingham Wildcats host Oaklands Wolves later that evening.
Sunday’s action sees Caledonia Gladiators take on Essex Rebels, Leicester Riders host Newcastle Eagles, and Manchester Basketball begin their season at home against the London Lions. All 10 SLB sides will play each other two times in the Championship season, completing an 18-game regular season.
The Women’s Cup competition, which will be renamed in honour of British basketball pioneer Betty Codona in absence of the long-running Trophy campaign, takes centre stage in January.
The pool phase of the competition occupies the first month of 2027, with 10 teams split into two pools (north and south) before the top two in each section advance to the semi-finals, which take place in February ahead of the first showpiece final of the season on March 21, with venue information to be confirmed.
The regular season concludes on Saturday 10 April, setting the stage for the 2027 Women’s Play-Offs, where this year for the first time in the history of the Women’s League, the quarter-finals and semi-finals will be two-legged showdowns (home and away) with the aggregate winner advancing to the next stage.
What is sure to be an incredible 2026/27 season its climax at the Super League Basketball Play-Off Finals on Sunday 17 May at The O2, London, where the Play-off champions will be crowned.
With ten clubs competing across the country and every game carrying significance in the race for playoff positions, the 2026/27 campaign promises another season of elite basketball, unforgettable moments and intense competition from the opening tip through to the crowning of the champions.
