Westfield Health Sheffield Hatters claimed a historic 62-60 WBBL Cup Final victory over Sevenoaks Suns at Arena Birmingham, led by MVP Sarah Toeaina’s 15 points and 13 rebounds.

Toeaina thrilled the 5,000 spectators in attendance with a battling display that saw the hard-working wing collect 15 points and a game-high 13 rebounds.

“We fought for one another and today we went to battle,” reflected Toeaina after the buzzer.

“Sevenoaks were a well coached team and never went away.

“But, to persevere and push through definitely paid off in the end.”

Despite only taking eight field goal attempts, Toeaina took control on the offensive end by getting to the free throw line. The MVP hit nine of her 10 shots from the foul line, including five important makes in the fourth quarter with the game on the line.
